Comply with the rule of the thirds, as in painting, and place your subjects on one of the 4 naturals points of interests delimited by the rule of the thirds. The feeling of depth: the staging of various plans strongly contributes to the success of a photograph. The spectator must have the feeling of a relief with 3 dimensions, the various elements of the composition will be thus the ones in front of the others as in reality.
The harmony: a composition is harmonious when the various elements which take part in it are balanced inside framing while proposing a certain variety in their localization and their relative importance.
A last thing, locate the modes and the tendencies. One of the tendencies of the animal photography of these last years is in the situations but also in the postures where the animals refer to human feelings voluntarily or not.
