Antonio Allegri says Corrège. Virgin with the Child with St John Baptist. (1515).

This painting is inspired by Raphaël, the Virgin and the Child with St John Baptiste , said the Beautiful Flower stand (1507 or 1508) but the composition of work and the pallet of the colors used are completely different. The colors are clear and the picture inspires much softness and tenderness. Raphaël yields with the discoveries of the Rebirth, the Mannerism of Corrège emerges some in a subtle and delicate way.
The Virgin is front view, the point of view of the spectator is located on her face, on the level of the horizon.
The face of the Virgin is located at the top of the higher tension field, between 2 natural points of interest. Christ and St John Baptist occupy the lower tension field, each one on a natural point of interest.
In the foreground characters, the second plan a hedge of lemon trees. The sky and the landscape are with the background.
The painting is built on the ascending diagonal, on this one the faces of Christ and St John Baptist are.
Decorated with an aureole and leant towards the children the face of the virgin expresses a great softness.
The right hand supports and approaches St John Baptist.
The left hand maintains Christ firmly.
The light comes from in bottom on the left.
